Default Looking to finance a car

Been looking around for a car, every time before winter i seem to be buying a car so i won't have to drive the s. just got rid of my dd and i'm thinking i want to settle down on some thing. i was looking at an element going for 10k. going to go check it out, but just looking for some advice on what steps to take as negotiations and mainly anything to look for?

thanks in advance!

forgot to mention

some credit union offer insurance on car loans.

I know Penfed offer an insurance that lets you out of your loan if your car got stolen.... with the numbers of theft happening might be worth it...
