The last day (well this year at least)
Well today was the last time I'll drive it for at least 3 months maybe 4???. As soon as it started snowing I hauled ass home to avoid the road salt. Tomorrow I'll winterize it and park it as far in the corner of my tiny garage as I can.
Man oh man, what a year for me and the Precious.
I drove the precious 2000 miles to live in a better place. And saw a bunch of beautiful scenery this country has to offer. Too bad not enough of us get to see it from our cars. If you ever get a chance take the girlfriend or the spouse and enjoy the country in a roadster. You will never forget it.
I had to drive numerous times during the summer with the top up! for the first time since I owned it, but did not mind. Escaping humidity was better.
I met a lot of cool people! And a lot of them who were younger and more mature!
I also met a lot of owners who were older and much wiser than me. Now I don't have to sweat being the oldest
The food in Chicago! OMG!!! Best in any town I've ever been too. And I travel a lot. I'm gonna get fat this winter. Especially from Portillo's
I am glad I moved here
I want to say thanks for accepting me as a friend to the following people who drive.....
A Berlina Black w/ a Dunlop graphic and a hard top I want but cant afford
A certain '04 Silverstone with some of the newest best looking mods I've seen
A Grand Prix White who has a new job wearing a tie maybe?
A Berlina with a nasty door ding (need to fix that bro!)
A Silverstone with a single exhaust who also has a girlfriend who is as cool a person as he is.
A Berlina and also doubled as the whipping boy for a few weeks on this board cause he didn't go to FWT '04
A Formula Red that had some lug nut problems a few months ago
A Sebring Silver that waited with me for the tow truck
A Grand Prix White that got me some gum at my worst moment
One very Sweet blue Z06 in addition to a Silverstone! What car next dude??
I met a lot of others too, sorry if I forgot but hell I'll get to know you again in Spring.
Later all, wish me luck for the next few months in my winter beater

This is so sad because it just started snowing here in Indy and the weather man got it right for the first time. I too will be leaving the S in the garage for 3 or 4 months, or until it rains and washes all the salt away. And I just put anew exshaust on. I guess I will have to wait until next spring.

Yep, Mine is done too. On the way home tonight, I passed the salt trucks heading up I69. Very sad.
There are some great guys up there in Chicago. Hopefully, I will spend a little more time up there this comming summer.

I think I can speak for all the Chicago crowd when I saw we are glad you decided to join us!
You certainly have had an up and down year with your S.
Look forward to seeing you out again in her next year at the meets - and maybe attend some of the winter get togethers if you get the chance!
and ps.....congrats again on your baby - more than enough reason to be at home away from the cold outside!

Yeah, as of Monday my garage is full of cars with covers on them.
I too thought it was great to meet a LOT of new people this year, including a Sebring with CA plates.
I am looking forward to the 2005 car season.
Is it Spring yet?
