Default January (Birthday/etc bash/party)

Hello All ,

Its that time of year again. There is an over abundance of birthdays during this time.
This is just a discussion thread to get some ideas. In the past, these have been held in WI
I wanted to to gather up a large crowd again this year.
I expect this to happen end of Jan or early Feb depending on what we choose.

I will find links to previous bashes so it can make voting easier.
I will not put up suggestions my self until I know a little more info

I do have a place in skokie , which I think is a happy traveling medium
However it may not be nice on the wallet and it would have to be Sunday.
So I will see what i can do to haggle better accomadtions.

Lets discuss.....

Some past ideas
1) Traditional sit down dinner with slide show
2) Bowling/pool with possible back room for (pizza , etc...)
3) Someone who is crazy enough to invite a majority of UMW (also this extends to some people in Canadia, and Washington (WSB?)) to there house
4) ??????

Raffle is on.
One Six has confirmed they can work with us.
Types of items avail
1) Exedy Clutch
2) Hasport motor mounts
3) Shift Knobs
4) Oil Cap
5) Tow Hook , Lug nut set , etc...

This does not have to be the only shop
If anyone has suggestions or relationships with shops chime in

Also the more sign ups the more stuff we can do.

I have no problem traveling up to WI to make it, so I'd say whichever place works best. I think the traditional nice sit-down has worked well for this event.

There are several advatages in WI.
Parking , Pricing , easy accomadations, and did I hear someone say Safehouse afterwards?

I was beginning to get a little worried we weren't doing it this year.

I have no real preference to location, though WI is the "norm". Has anyone spoke to Keith? I'd hate for him to miss out.

Yes , I called him and due to schedules , I decided to start at least brain storming. As desicions come about, I may ask those who signed up for help.
Also I do enjoy the Raffle we do , so I may need help with that. It can be King or I have other shops that I know very well and we can go that route too.

Im caling them this week to see who can "hook" us up the best. I think a mixture of general parts/ s2k parts has been very successful in the past.

I'm in for whatever, I know the owner of Rack em Up in Buffalo Grove and he let me host an Xmas party there last year. They have pool tables, darts and bags. They also have tables where we can sit and eat. He allows outside food and possibly drinks (they have a bar there). So we could always order or bring food. He also gave me a 20% off drinks last time and $5 unlimited pool per person. There is also eSkape next door if ppl want to bowl.

But i would like to see how possible this is..

Good discussion people
Lets get a few more ideas out so we can start planning

Cool

King have "helped" in the past, but it's a minimal discount, Keith is friends with one (or more) of them so he might have better luck.

We could hit up Greg to see what he could do
