Hey! I am bguernse's friend that brought the RX-7. I just wanted to pop on and say thanks for letting my wife and I ride along. It was definitely a blast. I'm sorry to heare about the accident though. That's a real shame. The deer can be really thick in that area (heck, all of Mid/Southern Indiana is bad about deer).

We didn't have any problems with getting loose, but I could imagine a little more throttle could have made us swap ends a couple of times. Also, the line had already slowed quite a bit wherever there was gravel by the time we got to it.

Sorry about having to skip out for gas before eating, but I figured that nobody would want to wait on us after eating. That rotary is not known for fuel efficiency, and I should have topped the tank off before we started since we drove from Greenville. Too bad they didn't have any large tables available in a reasonable time so we could have talked more. I look forward to doing it again sometime.

It was a blast. The only time I got a little loose was when we made the blind left turn after the fast right and the two behind us blew by the left turn. The left was a very fast transition from up and to the right to down and to the left. The up and down unsettled the rear on mine a bit and I drifted around the left with a little more oversteer than I would have liked. Seth knew it was coming and started turning left in the right hand turn. If I hadnt been so close to him I would have missed the turn too. I want to get a stiffer swaybar in the front to counteract the oversteer.

OK, the pictures are up. Not very high res, but its a cheap camera... There would have been many more but the batteries managed to fall out of the camera and roll under the seat during a turn...

Byron, thanks for the pictures. I understand about the seats in this car. If you drop something, it's under the seat! It's a major undertaking to retrieve anything after it's been dropped.

Aaron, in your estimation, how hard would you say that you, Seth and I were going through the corners? 7/10's, 8/10's? Seth, any thoughts?

rx7eric, I'm glad that you could make it. I have a friend that I work with that has a black and tan '93 RX7 TT. His is put up for the winter, though. I'll get him out for one of our drives, yet.

Meeyatch1, you missed it friend. I think that we all had a good time. Maybe you can make it next time.

Bob,
When the three of us were running together I would say 8s. The fact that we were bumper to bumper made it seem like 9s though. When Seth and I were running later on I would say 9s and 10s but we were spaced out more due to not wanting gravel spray.

I think that last turn that I took was an 11/10, but I could be wrong...........good news, the car was taken to the shop this morning. I am having Church Bros. do the work. I heard good things from several people, and they "guarantee" their work (whatever that means). It is a shop my insurance deals with often, so we will see how it goes. No estimate yet, they said they would call since I was in a hurry, but definitely more than my deducable.(Bob, isn't Golden Chassis a strip club...........no, I'm sorry that's CLASSY Chassis. My mistake) Anyway, the car will be there for a couple weeks. Hope it looks good as new. The insurance is going to even cover my RM racing front spoiler, which is now in 3 pieces. I do appreciate all the advice and concern. I do have a pretty sweet 4 door Ford Escort as my rental........I think that I will be taking it to Brown County on the twisties..........I need to learn to face my fears and "Dead Man's Curve". Meet me at the water tower at 4am on Sat. I want to get an early start.........................

Hehe! We should meet at Classy Chassis at 1am that way we can get a real early start! No fear with 6 beers in you and the sweet smell of..... (*I dont drink and drive. Its a joke.*) You wont have your S for awhile. Church Brothers has a line five miles long. They supposedly do the best work anywhere in Indiana though. I checked on a paint job there once for another car and the minimum was 3k!

I can just see Crockey down there in Brown county trying to drive the twisties with all of this ice and snow on the roads...at 4AM, yet. Oh, I forgot, in the Escort.

Yeah, I wish I could have made it. Sounds like you guys need to get a radio system formed or something. It kind of bothers me that you guys had one of your group wreck their car and almost nobody knew about that. Not good. What if he had needed help? Nobody would have been there.
