Last summer the notfwd crew did a group cruise to Lake Geneva with the Lotus gang (~15 cars and 4-5 bikes). I'm not sure if the cruise organizer had some kind of connection, but he set it up so that the Popeye's parking lot was reserved for us .

Their website says they open at 11am. I don't know if your meet up times are set in stone, but it might be worth considering starting the cruise earlier with the goal of arriving there when they open. If we guarantee to be there at 11am and have "X" number of people coming, they might be willing to keep the lot blocked off until we get there. Just a suggestion....

Oh yea. I was not there for the drive up. But i heard that those roads were ideal. I did the road down from lake geneva.. If those were teh same?

Is there an IL location for the Caravan from chicago?

Yesterday K1ngfunk and I did a test run that was recommended to me by Harry. It starts in St. Charles, passes through Algonquin at about the halfway point, and ends in Lake Geneva.

We're thinking of pretty much following this route. We would have a meet up point in St Charles and a meet up at the halfway point in Algonquin. Just an FYI, the first half is more fun than the second half.

This sounds good, but what time and location to meet?

For the Wisconsin People meet at my house at 10:30. That will give us plenty of time for a nice drive to Lake Geneva. Plan to meet at Lake Geneva around 1:00.
I will pm Pat and make sure he posts up were the Il people should meet and time.

I don't know the time, but as far as the place, first first IL meet point is the Starbucks on the South-West Corner of the Intersection of IL-64 (North Ave) and IL-59 (Nethnor Blvd, but we all know it as 59).

The cars should be easy to see from the intersection, and that way we can grab some coffee or w/e to keep us up.

Just a suggestion but have you ever thought of Fontana or Williams Bay as a meeting place. There is a lot more space out that way for cars and such.

Ok, I'm officially off from work Friday and Saturday night, so I'm in. I get to make a meet 2 weeks in row... How exciting.
