How to destroy your brakes
I got the pictures from Sideline Sports photography that they took when I was at Autobahn earlier this month.
For those that don't know, when I was there, I had the Active Handling system turned on. If it THINKS you are out of shape around a turn, it will apply the rear brakes one at a time or both at once to try to straighten the car out. This puts a lot of pressure on the rears. I burned through the pads completely and ended up driving home with just the backing plates. That ate the rotors and I noticed later that it seized up the driver's rear caliper. I ordered up new parts and will be fixing it today.

Thanks guys.
I finished replacing the rear calipers. The car is basically driveable again now. However, since the car is in the air, I am going to replace the front pads. Shouldn't take too long to finish (just taking a break now.) It's still pretty hot out there.

I haven't taken the pictures of the brakes yet. I just finished downloading all the pictures from my trip, so the camera was full.
If you mean, did I use the e-brake in the pits at the track event? No. On the way home I knew they were gone, they were grinding ALL the time, even while NOT on the brakes. When I would have to use the pedal it felt like complete shit and the grinding would get 10x worse.
I replaced the rear calipers, rotors and pads. I bought a set of pads for the fronts and when I put them on I noticed that the front pads were almost completely gone too. I will be ordering a set of track pads SOON and will probably replace the front rotors at the same time as they were looking a little worn.
Oh yeah, did I mention: 3,400miles! Total on the car. Two track events. I'm hard on brakes, can you tell?
On the plus side. Despite destroying the calipers with heat, the ATE SuperBlue fluid looked clean and clear (well, blue, not really clear.) I bled quite a bit off because I couldn't believe it wasn't burned up at all, but it held up well. The speedbleeders made the job MUCH easier.
