The $2400 wasn't just for an axle. It was basically the whole Driver Rear corner. Axle, rotor, caliper, brake line, e-brake cable, sensor ... and what ever else is in that corner.

It was messed up bad ... it got to hot you could literally see through the rotor and the rotor separated into sever pices.
still....the axle itself with labour costed me around $500(happened twice to me) all the other stuff doesnt add up to $1900

hey keith, like i said on the other post, if you want me to fix the rear diff for you, it would be alot cheaper than what honda quoted by a milestone... i now work at a shop near o-hare airport and it wouldnt be any problem towing it here while you wait for the parts to arrive..

Keith, sorry to hear of your ordeal... hope things will work out for you.

Pinyo, GOOD MAN!!

Even though it's not me having to go through this I'd still want to say "THANK YOU" for being such a good friend. It's people like yourself that makes me appreciate my car & the guys & gals on this site more, and come back to this site just to keep the contact!

Pushin 9 explaned most of the things needed on my car before. I paid so much to get the car done same day. I actually paid for two installs. One being mine and the other they took a new 05 off the floor and tore that apart and put all the pieces on my car, same day, only three ours to fix mine. They later re-fixed the 05. I needed the car fixed in Tenn so I could get back to Green Bay. So I know I paid more then I had to. I'm not complaining about that.
And now that my car has been denied Honda Cara has black flagged me and I can't bring it anywhere, even if I made the car stock again.
And as far as some other comments I believe customer satisfaction is key. I did own my own company and had to give up lots of cash to my customers to keep them happy even though they were at fault. So I do believe Honda should of taken care of this. Regardless of my mods, mostly since the rear end has been an issue for years with my car. But it is a battle that looks like I will not win. So option two is fixing it myself, or with others.
Unluck Harry, Pinyo and others I don't have the brains to do this myself. So hopefully I can get some help this winter. I'm not looking for a free ride though. The car will be towed today to my paint shop where its heated so I have easy access all winter.
So I might have to sell my BBS wheels and brand new S03s to pay for this.

Just kidding about that, I know some people had there hopes up for these wheels and tires.

Thanks everyone for the support and comments. At least its not warm outside and I'm missing out on some top down days.

wow that sucks...

Only Donnie's situation (with his blown motor) seemed to give me any faith in warrenty work.

I got charged $50.00 to have my f*cking defroster harness plugged in

wow.....keith, sorry to hear the bad news. I have given up on honda's customer service especially with the S2000. They are simply ruthless. I kinda figured they would say no when I talked to you on the phone, but I was hoping you would get a break.

Anyways, good luck with the repairs. We will have to catch a drink sometime on the weekend. I might be going downtown on friday or saturday night with a friend from out of town to get a drink......if you would like to join, let me know. I will call you later in the week though.
