It was a beautiful day. Too bad most of the leaves had been blown off the trees a week before. Colleen, STARR, and I had a good time, though.

Thanks to Fred and his wife for being our tour guides.

It was Just Al, Colleen, STARR, My wife Kim and I. We all had a good time. The weather was great for this time of year. We had the Top down all day and Al did a great job of keeping up with his RSX TypeS ( nice Car Al ).

Most of the Leaves had blown away last week , so we drove a little harder than normal because the curves were still there . We also changed plans a little. After driving to and around Gull Lake, we all decided to run over to Saugatuck and check out the town and have some dinner .For dinner we went to Coral Gables Corner Bar for all you can eat Prime Rib for only $9.95.

THEOLDMAN Al and his wife Colleen are great folks, and their dog STARR was the center of attention in Saugatuck. When Al said he was bringing STARR we figured she was a small lap dog. WOW were we wrong, she's a huge White German Sheppard that stoped almost every one in there tracks to give her a pet or treat to munch on. She also keeps Al in very good shape for an OLDMAN in his mid 50s going on 20

Kim and I will do this again next year in late October so we can catch all the color and curves and have a last fling before the season ends. If anyone in the area ever wants to go for a drive, Just let us know

Now after that I have to let my head deflate some....Thanks again Fred.

I was really surprised by the prime rib...it was all you could eat. But while my appetite has returned I had to pass on a second helping after eating more than half of Colleen's steak.

The weatherman certainly cooperated this weekend. As nice as Saturday was I spent all afternoon inside at a planning meeting for a national MGA event in Mackinaw City next July. We made up for with a great lunch and dinner/party. Hopefully, our schedule will be better next time. Sooner or later we will get a decent turnout from the MI crowd but I may not live long enough to see it.

Sunday was nice enough that some friends & I were able to pull an engine and gearbox. Nothing like a little sun to perk things up!

I've read about your meet around Kalamzoo...I was wondering if you could outline a nice drive for me around that area.

I visit that area frequently and would like to know a nice drive in that area!

Can you give me this trip in detail from Portage? I usually stay by Schuring Rd and Westnedge!
