Default hello all

Hi everyone.

As you can probably see, I've signed up not too long ago, even though I've been lurking around for a while. I was looking for a car for quite some time and have finally come to a decision to buy an s2000.

I should be picking one up soon.

I'm not the only one that can't wait till spring, right?

Looking forward to drive the s..

Simon

I bought mine January 31st and had it trucked to the house (the only snow it's seen was in the driveway). Good luck on your search.

I am trying to find the right one now as well.

I don't really care if I have to go out of state either, because if I get it now or in two weeks it is going in storage until the weather improves.

What year and color you looking for, why did you decide on the S2k?

Welcome!

There is a sticky thread at the top of this forum with information on all the dealerships in the area. It should help you to get the best deal you can.

dlq04 - Thanx!

Dezoris, my other choices were the s4 and the 350z.
s4- comfy sedan, and pretty tunable ( but downside is reliabilty ) I didn't really like how it performed and handled stock.
350z - torquey, but I didn't really like the feel of the interior, ins. costs more.

Overall, I like the s2000 the most. Great handling, fast, nice interior...and convertible!
I've got a second car, so a two seater won't be a problem.

Have my mind set on an 01 silverstone/black.

Ruexp, read that thread, but I don't plan on buying from a dealer. Service reviews are great, but hopefully I won't need to be showing up in that department.:-) Also, winter storage thread is great, lots of useful tips.

Got a question for you guys. Are there chicago area meets during the summer?
Any track days ?? (not dragstrip, track ...
Thanx
Simon

Edit:
One more thing. I think I'll be picking the car up and driving it back. It might be a 350 mile higway trip. I've seen ads with undercar snow and salt flush services. There's one really close to my house. Would it be reasonable to do that after the trip and then putting it into storage?
