Hello all!

I trust all is well back home! As many of you know, I've been working as a musician on the MS Zuiderdam of the Holland America Cruise Line for the last 2 1/2 months. We've been sailing around the Carribbean all that time having our home base in Ft Lauderdale, FL and have been to such places as Grand Turks, San Juan (Puerto Rico), Tortolla (British Virgin Islands), St. Maarten (French and Dutch VI), St. Thomas (USVI), and the Bahamas. Good to get out of Wisconsin for the winter.

We are currently in our second day of an eight day voyage across the Atlantic Ocean-- once we get there we will see Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Tunisia, Morocco, Greece and wind up in Rome at the very end. It has been a rediculous time abord and promises to get only crazier as the time continues.

I am flying home April 2 from Rome and can't wait. I miss everybody back in the US and am looking forward very much to getting back to real life for a change. To that end, my favorite bar is throwing a Welcome Home party on Saturday, April 5 for me and I hope that as many of you can attend as possible. The bar is:

I've spoken with a few people this past Saturday and it sounds like some people might be free to join in the fun on the 5th. I hope that the snow up there is melted by that time and that we might be able to make a drive out of the day as well-- I have missed my S while I've been down here to an extent that I didn't think possible and can't wait to get her out of the garage when I get home. If anyone would be willing to help me change fluids and give her a once-over between the 2nd and the 5th of April I would really appreciate it.

I do realize that this is not totally S2K-centric but I hope that we can make a party out of it and have some fun that day-- it would mean the world to me. If anyone is interested in a drive (weather permitting) I've got a route in mind and I would love to make it happen. I'll get a list started now with indications for how much fun everyone would like to have on April 5 and I'll make more specific plans (time, place, etc.) when I've got a better idea of how many people would like to be involved. If you're free and would like to hang out just indicate in parenthesis what you would like to take part in.

Thanks for your time reading my novel and I can't wait to see all of you guys and gals in two weeks! I also can't wait to go through the pictures and tell all the stories that have developed while I've been away as well as catch up with life back home. I won't even mention the fact that I haven't driven a car (much less an S2K) since I've been here and cannot wait for the opportunity to do so.
