I exchanged mine once I crossed the boarder at my hotel. I paid for most things with a credit card which automatically figures out the exchange rate so I didn't even need the cash I exchanged. At the current exchange rate it isn't really even worth it, just give them US currency if they don't accept cards (all places will take US currency dollar for dollar so you'll be losing a whopping 6-cents).

I've always found the best exchange rate to be from an ATM of the Royal Bank or better still at the ATM of a Zehrs grocery store.

Remember "Drink Canada Dry" is a slogan and not a personal challenge.

Pete, are you still planning on running part of this route? You are most certainly welcome to join us. Anyone else? We will be departing for Petosky late Monday morning.

This was a great trip. The highways were as smooth as could be. Not having been to the UP before I was amazed to find that MI has some good road surfaces.

There were three cars and six people, a great time was had by all. 2259 miles worth of dirt and bugs to get off of Tachus. I suppose a lot of the bugs were washed off on Thursday morning when we were driving through Ironwood or perhaps I should say sailing through Ironwood. I really thought we would have water in the car but our little Hondas were just wonderful and handled it all. The rest of the six days had wonderful weather. A sports car tan is worn by all of us who went. Thanks go to Howard for planning this meet.

Tachus,
I am very glad to hear you had a good trip. Man, how I wish I could have joined you. I remember it as a great route and smooth roads.
Will be back in town end of this week for the weekend.
Hope you took pictures of the cars and the scenery.
Howard

We have at least three cds of pictures, we'll bore you silly.

Hope it will not be too long before you are home long enough for us all to get together.

Yes, I expected them to have signed up by now. I sent them a note by snail mail, which I hope will encourage them to become s2ki members.
They seemed keen on the Tomcatt and tomorrow is the last day to register for one of the rooms at the Hampton Inn.
