Default First Ticket in the S

Well it finally happened after 49,650 miles I managed to get myself a ticket

I was on my way home taking the scenic route along the Fox river by the Broken Oar through Fox River Grove and then on to Cary. I came to the intersection by Foxford Hills Golf course and I ask myself...should I go straight and be bored or turn right and slice up some twisties. Right it is!! With the throttle wide open and the K&N sucking in all the air it can I head up the hill and head for the curves ahead. Ohh what fun this is I check out the rear view after finishing the curves and head for the rolling tree lined staightaway and there are those pretty colored lights coming towards me fast

I pull over quickly hoping the cop is on the way to some other event, but that is not the case today. He asks me the stadard question Do I know why he pulled me over? I give him the standard answer "No Sir". He tells me I was doing 56 in a 35 and asks for my documents.

Now what to do... In the past I went to court all by my lonesome and got court supervision. Showed up 90 days later to swear I was a good boy and the ticket never appeared on my record. Times have chnged now and I guess you have to go to school for a few hours along with being good for some time period. From what I have been reading from other threads and the past dealings others they say get a lawyer and send him to court.

Anybody know the name of a good lawyer?

You don't need a lawyer, although the guy COULD have knocked it down to 54 in a 35 so it wouldn't be 21 over.

Traffic school is common with a suspended sentance. You can now take the class online which is REALLLLY nice. Traffic school will cost you a little extra over the cost of the ticket, and the Internet version costs an extra couple of bucks over THAT, but it's worth it.

Sorry you finally got busted, good luck in court.

I was just looking over the details on the ticket and he was nice enough to do just that!!

Option A on the ticket is send them $75 for all complaints
Option C is send the $95 for 20 - 30 mph over

Phil...I'll give you a call; I have a GREAT lawyer. BTW, your 1st ticket in the S???!!! ...Newbie..

I have reservations about taking supervision, class, etc. I'll let you know why.

For such a "minor" offense I'd just take the traffic school. Don't waste money on a lawyer unless you NEED it.... Search for my old post =)

Online class can be finished in 2 hours, opposed to the 4 hour classroom version.
