Default Finished my Audio system

Well, I finally broke down and got a subwoofer for my S2000. I had everything else done audio-wise so it was time to complete the setup.

Here's what it looks like:

That's a 10" Elemental Designs 11kv.2 Subwoofer in a WLAURENT enclosure. William Laurent is an S2000 owner who sells these boxes. he offers them for the passenger or drivers side of the trunk.

There is more info on my system in the link in my sig, but the highlights look like this:

Pete,

Setup looks very nice.

I recently acquired the a similar (older) headunit, and decided to order the Modifry Sony DCI to retain stock controls after reviewing your audio thread Expect a P.M. from me if I run into problems, which I hope won't happen.

Well, it sounds great in my garage.

I am planning more time tuneing and tweaking this week with some road testing to go along with it. So stay tuned for more info.

I will be glad to demo the sound for anyone interested at the next meet.

Simon, no problem. If you want a hand installing it, just let me know. Shouldn't take more than 1 hr.

Pete:

Is that the standard WLAURENT 8" enclosure cut for 10" sub? Did you do the cutting or did you purchase it that way? I'm thinking of swapping out my 8" JL for one 10" EA.

I bought it as an assembled unit. I believe he has a trade-up plan if you send him your sub, he can replace it with the 10" and send it back.

Looks nice and clean in the trunk! Are you planning to use a grill to protect the sub?

Yeah. William is working on a prototype grill. Fortunatly I rarely have anything in the trunk, but I will get it once it's ready for sale.

I noticed your amp is located where your spare would go. I currently have my sub amp on the passenger side of the tool kit.. and my sub box in the tool kit shallow. I am planning on putting my speaker amp in this coming weekend and wanted to put it in the spare tire location. did you do away with the spare all together or just relocate it?
