Elda Rollbar installation in Chicago Area
#16
The bar is done on Harry's car.
There is a fair ammount of seat travel lost, but Harry runs a racing seat on the drivers side and is well, short. So it's not a big deal for him. There is no way I could drive his car (or any car) with a Cusco bar in it, simply because my knees would be in my throat.
Fit and finish on the bar seemed very good. I missed most of the work, but is seemed like the hardest part was mounting the driver's side rear support. The rear wheels had to come off and Harry ended up buying a right-angle attachment for his drill to get around all the suspension parts. Keep in mind that the gas tank is on that side so access from the top is limited by the filler neck.

All that work made me tired Harry. Glad you got through it. Driving to Elda's is sounding like a better plan every day, at least for me; since I'm heading out east for 2-3 things this summer and I don't like fighting tight cramped spots anymore.
