It's funny because I've been there (and was mad b/c my window was broken on a brand new car...it wasn't)...

First, BUMP!

Second, to make the OP feel better, I my car in shortly after I bought it for a warrantied service on the top (can't remember what now) , and when I picked it up, THE TOP WOULDN'T GO DOWN. So I figured the tech forgot to plug something back in (he did also leave a wrench under the seat).

I was polite but firm when I went back in and suggested they may have erred, and it turned out to be the parking brake wasn't set. Since I always do this out of habit, similar situation. But since I didn't park the car this time it wasn't set.

We've all done something like this. Can't figure out how to check the oil. Secret compartment. Nearly hitting your head on the windshield trying to v-tec the car cold, etc.

That one's my favorite. Like when I installed my intake on my last car, finished late at night, then decided to test it out. Tried to vtec. Oh sh!t! What did I do, did I forget to connect a hose, did a bump the vtec solenoid? Oh yeah, 2 bars...

I had that same problem when I test drove the S2000 for the first time. The salesman didn't know you had to have the ebrake set either.

That said, I'm going to take this opertunity to advise people to ALWAYS set the ebrake when parking the car, but to ALSO park the car in gear. The S2000's ebrake has a bad habit of loosening up a little as the brakes cool. There have been a LOT of reports of people's cars rolling away on them.

So, does anyone actually use their window lock button? I don't really understand the use of a window lock button anyway. But on an S2000, most people roll around top down anyway. And if they don't, is it a problem with the passenger? There is 1 passenger and he/she is right next to you. There are 2 occasions when I use the window lock button in car. 1) My friends are being annoying playing with the windows and they are in the back seat (not the S) so i lock the windows. and 2) When I have friends in the car and I

It's for when you are going top down, and your GF wants to put the passenger window back up so the wind doesn't mess with her hair.

"Sorry, dear. The window doesn't GO back up when the top is down."

You're right. Windows should almost never be up when top is down. The one exception is when it rains or when I need to be a road hazard and need to answer my phone. Can someone program a handsfree bluetooth kit that rolls up my windows when the phone rings?
