I had trouble with McGrath when it came to negotiating a price. They wouldn't work with me on price at ALL. Of course, this was two years ago, and in the spring time, so things may have changed. I helped negotiate an Accord for my Mom, and we got here a deal at McGrath.

BTW -- If at all possible, I would avoid any car that has been sitting in the showroom. They get the most scratches, and black WILL show them all.

Are you stick on getting an '04? If not and are ok buying used, I know someone selling a well mantained (mechanically and detailed thoroughly) Berlina black with low mileage and selling for under book value.

Interested? PM me. I won't steer you wrong, ask people here on the board.

BTW, it's not mine.

You may want to consider giving a call to McGrath Honda in St. Charles. I was in there a couple weeks ago and they had an '04 Belina in the showroom. Not sure if it is still there, but might be worth checking just to get another price point. Noticed yesterday they have a silver sitting out from as well.
Bought the car a few days ago
Thanks for the offer though, Luder94.

I was told that the Berlina from McGrath Honda in St. Charles was pinstriped. Not my style.

So anyways, I went to O'hare Honda and bought the car for $30,900. It was a brand new 05 with 9 miles on it. It had all of the plastic on it and everything. I love that new car smell!

This is my first manual trans car. I'm slowly getting the hang of it though. Anybody have any tips for me? hehe

I have some pics of my old car and of the new S. Check it out:

Wow....I know that old Civic of yours....you live in Schaumburg in Park St. Claire. What a small world. I'm the Black Mugenized S2000 with the Dunlop decals that used to buzz by your house on Monday and Tuesday afternoons (if not that car then a lipstick red boosted DC2 Integra with a JDM front end).

I know you've seen me around.

Yup, that's where I live.

The only modded S that I've seen on the road was a black one with a Mugen hood, I believe. An indian guy was driving it. Was that you?

That'd be me....not too many Indian guys in an S2000 to begin with....much less a Mugen hood, Mugen hardtop, Mugen Rims, etc., etc.

BTW,

Hell yeah man. Your car is sweet! I remember seeing it at Meacham and Wise rd. I was with my girlfriend. Saw your car, and told her "that's what I want my future S to look like." haha keep up the good work bro!

One of the first things I did after purchasing our S was to have a "clear bra" installed...and, after one year of ownership, I'll be doing that on the next vehicle that we purchase, too.
