...at a groovey race shop called Northstar Motorsports. They race Porsche 911's and carry a full line of top quality go-fast goodies.
The shindig takes place on Sunday, November 24 from between 11-3. Refreshments will be provided.
There is a 10-30% discount of in-stock items purchased that day. I have met these guys several time over the last few years and are very cool. I'm sure their race cars will be there, as well.
Check out www.northstarmotorsports.com for more info on them.
Any takers?

No, I almost bought a boat once...talked to my dad about how excited I was about it and he told the old adage about boat owners.
Q. What are the two happiest days of a boat owners lives?
A. The day he buys it and the day he sells it.
hahah...
Do you know what the flags are spelling out? That'll explain it.
But no, I have no boat...I just try to have friends with boats!

Being from Texas originally and living in Austin for 10 years during college and beyond, it's a GREAT place to have a boat with lots of beautiful lakes and just about a year round climate to enjoy it all in. Maybe in January, you woulndn't enjoy being out on a lake in Central Texas. But what amazes me is how many boats there are in Chicago. I live right across the street from Belmont Harbor and anyone who knows the lakefront knows how many marinas there are here. The part that *really* sucks about boating in Chicago/Lake Michigan is the very short season. I think it goes from April to the end of October? Maybe even less than that...then you have to pull the boat out and dry dock, etc. What a PITA. I can't imagine doing that here.
And as for my signature. The flags are the International Code of Signals, if you want a hint...

Greg, I didn't know you had lived in Austin. Alison and I were there two weeks ago. We went to lunch at the Oasis. A view you wouldn't expect to find in central Texas. The weather was great with highs in the low 80's and lots of sunshine. Saw several folks doing some top down cruising but no S2000's.

Greg, yup, I lived in Austin for 10 years...much of that period of my life is a blur (not to say that most of it now isn't either, though)
I have been to the Oasis many, many times. They are notorious for really bad food and have been so for as long as I can remember. But the view really is stunning, especially during sunset. How was the food? Have they reinvented themselves again to no avail? They have great bands that play there, as well. The space is pretty amazing...
S2KGirl, did you actually find the ICS and decipher the code? Perhaps clicking on the image to see where it links may also be a hint.
