Harry - Thanks for the review. As a complete novice I decided to start at Gingerman (instead of Road America) because there appears to be a lot less to run into. I just need to find a helmet and decide what date to sign up for now.

 

I'm going this coming Monday (June 11th). Might go again later in the summer, or just do some open track days.

I am definitely looking forward to getting some classroom time and quality instruction.

 

Let me know what you think after you go. I am looking at late July early August for me.

 

Will do. I'll be honest, I'm kinda nervous. I've always considered myself a "good" driver, but I've never been on a track, or worn a helmet while driving.

 

Car is prepped for the track tomorrow. Wish I could say the same for it's driver

Aside from bringing:

-Helmet
-Long pants
-Driving shoes
-LOTS of water
-2 qts extra oil
-Various tools
-Sunscreen
-Registration/Tech Form
-Camera w/ extra batteries
-Rain gear

Anything else I should plan on taking to the track with me?

 

Please excuse the Batman helmet. My HJC didn't arrive in time for the event, so I borrowed my friend's motorcycle helmet.
