Default Car rental?

Well I'm taking my car in to get repaired tomorrow morning (door and top) after the guy admitted full fault. The insurance company said they would provide me with a rental, but I'm not 25, however they know my age (20) and didnt say anything. Am I going to run into any issues with Enterprise when I go to get the car ?

enterprise will simply charge you more. but they definitely rent to under-25s. however, 20 might be even below their limit. g'luck.

The insurance company will only cover the minimum charge for a compact car. Anything over that is likely to be your responsibility. When I was under 25 I had trouble renting cars. In your situation, I would have one of my parents rent the car, and then borrow their car.

You might want to call around to several rental agencies and see what you can do.

They actually agreed to comp a midsize car for the full term that it takes to repair my car, surprisingly... My parents dont live in the city and the only agency that this guys insurance company primarily deals with is Enterprise

Usually the insurance company should pay for any and all charges associated with renting the vehicle even if you are under 25, although I'm not sure about under 21.... When my gf and I got into an accident last year, the other party's insurance company paid for all charges for the rental, even the under 25 fee. The only thing they don't pay for is the extra insurance. I know Enterprise can be a stickler on the under 21 rule though...

Its kind of funny. Anyone 18 or over can rent a gigantic U-haul, but can't rent a normal car until they are at least 21?

Hopefully it works out for you.
