Default Can someone check my valve retainers?

I may have overred tonight...Not sure.

I was going 79 mph on the interstate and I had to take an on-ramp to another interstate. It is marked 45 mph, but there was nobody in front of me, so I was going to take it at 95-100 mph, as I've done many times in the past. I was going to downshift to 4th gear. I pushed the clutch in, blipped the throttle, and moved the gear selector. I accidentally put it in 2nd gear and started letting the clutch out. As soon as I hear the rpms start to rise I pushed the clutch back in, but I'm not sure if I caught it before 9000 rpms or if I let it rev up to 110000 rpms. Car drives normal without any CELs.

Who has inspected valve retainers before? I probably wouldn't know what to look for, so if someone has experience with them, and would be willing to help me out, please PM me how much you'd charge to inspect.

Holy Crap!! I am surprised there wasn't a nuclear explosion if your RPMs got that high.

F20c is engineered to rev to 10,500 (not consistently). The 9000 marker is just fuel cut off.

According to the turnzero gear calculator, 79 mph in 2nd is 10700 rpms. I do not know if it went that high, but 10700 is the absolute highest I could have gone, and it was for no more than 1-2 seconds

I beat on the car on my way to and from work, and she drives normally and pulls as hard as she always does. For now I think I'm OK. Hopefully.
