Is it an OEM HT? I just bought one myself and will be installing it tonight!! I dowloaded a pdf of the install instruction for MY02 and above from somewhere I do not recall. If you want it let me know and I will e-amil it to you. There is also a write up in the UTH section with some useful pictures.

Phil...if your install can wait until tomorrow, I'll give you a hand. I'll be back from WI early tomorrow.

Here is the link to the pictures. I started my install last night with the pdf as a guide. The pdf is pretty well written and will most likely be all you need in the garage to accomplish this. The top I purchased came with a few pieces of minor hardware missing, namely the bolts, rubber spacers, and foam tape. After talking with HardtopGuy he said I could get by with a bit of duct tape and reuseing the original bolts.

That shouldn't be true.

The mounting brackets for the side mount has 4 bolts on each side. There are two bolts in particular that NEED to be longer to hold tension on the mounting. The OEM bolts hold, but they end up holding with one or two threads.

If you can't get it to work, I am most sure that I have the bolts you'll need.

Urmil.. as always thanks for the offer to help. I did about 60 % of the work last night. I rested the top on the car and still need to do the final adjustments. I will be headed to the cabin tonight to pull the boat and pier out for the winter. I will give you a call when I get back if I need any help with the final adjustments.

I think the hardest part of the install was hammering the brackets a bit so that they fit more flush with the sides of the car.

Hammering???!!!! In all the hardtops I've installed for other owners, I've never had to hammer anything.

I've also never read any of the directions to install the brackets before...but then again, if I haven't a need to hammer anything, I'd rather not.
