as long as your friend has his whole car there and not just the trunk, most shops should be able to color match it perfect. just go to a reputable shop. crappy shops will just give you orange peels and imperfections in paints.
also, a lesson learned: if they quote you that price, agree upon it. i negotiated with a shop for like 50 bucks off and they did a crappy job. not too crappy..but you can notice it on small areas...and that shop was a good friend of mine too.

and yea..that is kinda awkward..and sort of a coincidence. at least he knows who hit him and can always reach him. is that professors insurance covering it? he should get a cf trunk and/or see if someone on this forum sells an ap1 rear bumper or trunk thats spa yellow. ;D
