best local dealer for warranty work?
my differential is making some groaning noises when i have the wheel locked to one side and i start accelerating from a stop. i also get some shakes almost everytime i accelerate from a stop. my car is CPO but i'm afraid i'll take it in to a dealer and they won't fix it for me...does anyone know which dealer is really good about doing warranty work on our cars?

there are some threads on it... initially i thought maybe the flywheel needs resurfacing, but it seems other people are having similar issues also and they say its the diff. its hard to explainm its like a slight vibration right as the clutch is engaging. maybe some of you more experienced guys can take a ride in my car and tell me what you think it might be. i just hope this CPO warranty comes in handy.

too bad i bought my car from louisville ky. hopefully the CPO warranty will show its worth. so no one else has slight shaking when accelerating from a stop in 1st? my friends 02 actually did the same thing...i figured its a common issue with s2k's, but damn it gets annoying.

That's not normal. Look for the "shakes" under hard acceleration while on a roll as well. Look at your rear view mirros to see how much "shake" you have.
There's a healthy amount of info about possible causes (diff carrier vs. axle shimmy vs. fluid deterioration) in the "Under the Hood" section.
As for dealer recommendations, I whole heartedly would tell you to go talk to Ed Wong over at Motorworks. If you cannot find him, talk to Elliot Faulkner who used to be with Honda, but is now with the Merc. Benz side of service. Either Ed or Elliot will make your service visit as easy as possible.
There are quite a few bad dealers as well....there's a thread in the UMW section pertaining to others' experiences with the local Chicago-land dealers/service shops.
