Best Japanese restaurants in your area
So, I'm a transplant to the Great Lakes area (Michigan) from Seattle, WA. One of the things that pains me is that there aren't enough good Japanese restaurants in my neck of woods.
The best place that I found in MI is Noble Fish in Clawson, MI. To be honest, compared to most good Japanese places (4 of 5 stars) in Seattle, Noble Fish is still only 3 out of 5 stars at best.
The only place that I've been to in Chicago area is Toro Sushi which was ok. Their Chirashi was rather lacking in choices and the fish were just ok.
Anyway, so, I will be taking a road trip to west (IL, WI, MN)... and, would like to see what I can find there. Any suggestions on what you think is the "best" Japanese restaurant in your area?
-Sean
p.s. I am partial to sushi, nigiri, udon and other traditional fares... rolls are just meh.
+ S2000 related... my car is Japanese.
