Baraboo Cruise / Wisconsin Dells Car Show Sat. May 19th 2012
This post in the S2KI forum will be the main forum for this event!
Greetings all; Cruise time again!
I will be hosting this year’s car cruise/meet (informal) on Saturday May 19th 2012. We will be meeting at 9:00am sharp in Baraboo Wisconsin.
Location: Pumphouse Sports Bar & Grille (was also recently Hootys) will be the location http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&bi...ed=0CBQQ_BIwBg This is located where HWY 123 and HWY 159 meet.
So...there will be two legs of the run this year. The first half will be very similar to the last few years runs and the second half will be completely different. I did this so the people NOT going to the car show will have a point that they can leave and those that continue to the car show will have a bit more fun!
I have done this with some maxima.org people, one 8thcivic guy and several from S2KI. We had a turnout of 12 in 2010 & this would have been the 8th run, but I cancelled last years due to the weather. This will be the 7th cruise.
The intent of this day is to meet from 9:00am until approx. 9:30am and then we will begin a drive that will take about 1.5hrs through various local back roads. We will end up in Wisconsin Dells at a pre-determined location and continue with the meet and/or perhaps go to the car show etc. There will be route details and maps distributed on the day of the run.
On this weekend, for those who haven’t done this with us before, there is a car show in the Dells on this weekend and usually +/-1200 cars tend to show up. There are also many cars that are there not for the “Show” but just to be there. I have been going to this car show for 10+ years or so and it gets bigger nearly every year. It ends up being a great time.
All are welcome and all car types are welcome as this is not car specific. While this is not considered a “Sunday drive” we will drive at a “reasonable pace”…this is not a time for high speed racing and other nonsense and will not be tolerated! Please be respectful.
Thank you, Brian
