Ballast is out, Need a new one
I am looking for a ballast for an 01.
After my light went out, I went through the trouble of replacing the bulb, dealer told me that was the problem, only to find that it still didn't work. I removed the ballast from the housing and found that there was a lot of rust damage. My car has been sitting for quite a while and I didn't realize that there had gotten that much moisture in there.
If anyone has one, I'll take it asap.
thanks

Brendan,
Your best bet is to check on car-parts.com Most people that have extra ballasts tend to hold onto them, use them on their non-hid cars, or sell them at very high prices to those without HID's.
Buying them from salvage "warehouses", you may end up getting a better deal. They may not like the fact that they may be sitting on an "odd" number of ballasts, or can find a part that may work for your needs even though it may not be a Honda part. Example, I helped install an Audi ballast and a BMW ballast to give my friend's e46 sedan HID's on an, otherwise, non-HID equipped car. Once installed and bulbs warmed up, there was no difference in color of the light, or intensity of the light discharged.
In the meanwhile, if you end up finding multiple ballasts, I may be interested in buying two....this way, we may be able to get a better deal if we buy in quantity together.

Urmil,
Thanks as always for the fast reply.
I've found a couple on here, but I figured I'd first look local. I'll definitely look around, see what I can find.
The car is starting to get on my nerves, just a couple little annoying problems. It's been at the doctor a couple times in the last few months.
If I can find a deal on more than one, I'll definitely let you know.
Thanks for the date on the next meet. I will once again be out of town, this time I'll be in Ireland. Last time was Mardi Gras.
I'm beginning to think that you guys are doing this to me on purpose.
