Default Back on the road again

Finally getting some decent weather here!

My ride is back on the road sporting the used 2001 AP1 rims I customized over the winter. They are now pearl graphite with silver (stock) edges. The valve stems are gloss black aluminum and the center caps reflect Rick's "S" emblems.

The Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 rubber has a very nice feel that thusfar doesn't indicate that I've given up anything significant to the stock Potenza S-02s. Realistically I need a lot more mileage and varied road conditions under my belt for any definitive evaluation.

These shots were taken about 10 miles north of Mt. Rushmore near my home.

This last shot shows the Classic Carrier black luggage rack with leather straps that I've installed to augment the 5 cubic feet of trunk space during road trips.

As an aside I also did a bit of engine compartment tweaking. See this post for more info:Under the hood thread

Thanks guys. The used AP1 rims had a bit of road rash that took some bondo and elbow grease to remedy. I used Dupli-Color pearl graphite wheel coating
http://www.duplicolor.com/projects/howto_wheel.html which really does a very nice job. This after doing some extensive researching of powdercoating versus this type of refinishing. The pictures don't do the wheels justice. They have garnered quite a few positive comments locally already.

This area of the country is both a sportsmans' paradise and a spectacular tourist vista. I moved here back in '94 and have found the area much to my liking
