I am 23 in December and have had my car for 3 years now. Soon to be coming up to 3 years no claims also. I do however have an IN10 on my license. I have tried to get insured with you in the past but for some reason you wont insure until I am 25? Is this still the case?
we'll look at each case on it's own merit but our general rule of thumb is to be aged 25 or over. We have insured a 23 year old recently only a S2000 but this was on a TPFT basis which will not be ideal for everyone.
I feel we may struggle again this year to help you unfortunately.

Hi all,
Well I just insured my car through Sky (specifically Alex) & I must admit I'm not usually the person to publicly give praise for these kinds of things -
However,
Alex was very helpful, I got a great price & so far so good.
Out of all the other usual companies I tried Adrian Flux, Chris Knott (who wouldn't insure me as under 30?), all the comparison sites (be careful of combined excesses) & pretty much most other people I could think of, Sky were the best - plus the fact they advertise directly on the forum, I couldn't find any horror stories & obviously knew the car - I went for it.
So day 1 of Sky insurance starts this Sunday.
Cheers Alex & indeed Sky.

Hi Guys,
We very nearly went with you as you matched our best quote from elsewhere, and would have prefered to as you are a specialist insurer, however spent over 40 minutes on 2 occasions trying to get through to someone to take out the policy.
Gave up in the end and stuck with admiral.
Will give you a try next year!

Only this morning I phoned up to swap over from my Accord to the new S2000 arrival, and once again the service was first class.
I had no issue with the extra cost, no hassle putting 16" alloys and winter tyres on for free, the ability to swap the cars reg for a couple days if need be if the private plate takes longer than it should without occurring extra cost. Fingers crossed in 6 month for when my renewal comes through, that you can beat the rest and have my custom for the fifth year running

It seems strange to me that "some" insurance companies wont insure a car which is parked in a garage day and night in an exempt area (e.g. M - Manchester postcode) but will insure someone who lives 20 miles outside the city but works and parks his car on a side street in the city center everyday.
Seems a little unfair if you ask me.
Surely the person who works in the city center is more at risk?

Quick query, I insure my S with Sky and have recently moved a couple of streets away to a nicer area and now have the S in a garage (previously on a drive), however there has been no reduction in premium. Is this because it is an amended policy? Will it be taken into account differently on renewell or do garages just not affect your risk assessment?
Also, do insurance companies have different post code risk areas to each other? Only my other car is insured with another company and they have charged me extra for moving!
