The main noticeable difference was my car felt sure footed over a number of small bumps on the track at around the 80 +mph mark. I would put this down to the dampening I guess? Like I say I’m no expert but compared to his car he said his felt “skittery” at the same point on the track.

I guess his set up will have been slightly different so I can’t say anything for sure, I can just say how it happened on the day.

Other mods to my sus and lowering kit are front and rear ARB’s, Front anti bump steer, polly bushes and cont arms + adjustable drop links and drive shaft spacers.

Hope that helps

Yep, that is the damping working and I'll explain "why" it is doing it.

One of the main engineering advantage of the GT1 coilovers is the F.A.S.T. system.

As the image show, the FAST system is a series of small port sequentially placed on the piston.
This mean when the suspension work, it first operation with the smaller port, and move onto the larger port once higher flow rate is needed.

The result is as describe, the suspension will react to smaller movement allowing better traction over area that other suspension will feel "skittish", and this apply to both on track or on bumpy fast road surfaces.
The FAST system also aid comfort by allowing smaller movement of suspension when you want the suspension to move, such as when you are diving on the motorway for 2 hours and you don't really want to feel every small bumps and imperfection on the road.

The GT1 will load the tyres "progressively" in the initial phase (such as during turn in) and this mean better traction from the tyres as you do not suddenly shock load the tyres.
All these are part of the performance characteristic that the GT1 are able to deliver due to its precision engineering.

So if you feel your car feel sure footed and planted even over smaller bumpy surfaces, while retaining that sharp steering response and body roll control, then the GT1 is doing exactly what it was engineered to do.

We need more s2k's with these fitted to judge I honestly would give a set to one of the lads who race or track their s2k alot (people with experience) to evaluate them just an idea nothing better then proper opinions from people who know what they are talking about on real cars

In time, I am sure more S2K owners will come.

The thing is that the GT1 isn't a "race" suspension, but it is an all rounder suspension that do everything well.
It is a suspension designed to be comfortable on the road, responsive on bumpy country road, and competitive on the track.
Easy to build a good track suspension, but a good all rounder that does everything well; that is actually a much more difficult task.

In terms of achievement, the GT1 already proven it's worth this year with Steven Peeler in an EVO6 RS in the MLR Sprint Series.
Class B is the competitive class as turbo output are limited, so you don't have one car that will produce twice the power of another one making tyre and suspension one of the key component in winning races.
Steven came runner up in his road driven EVO in the championship that are filled with Ohlins, Nitron, and even one car with a set of JRZ 3-way suspensions.

This is one result that has changed a lot of opinion about what MeisterR can do as we have proven our ability to dance with the big boys and win.

When the time comes I will be posting my zeta's back and trying these. I have been impressed with the zeta's on track so these should only be better!

I believe a prelude racing in sls at knockhill has switched to these as well
