Rev limiter (my poor car), so not entirely sure, as I didn't have the OBD2 connected - I guess 8,900.

Does anybody have stats on what improvement to acceleration etc this would give? Does a 15% mean 0-60 improvement by 15% as this would equate to about a second off the quotes figures.
Going for a lower gear will actually make the 0-60 time slower.

On standard gears you can hit 60mph in 2nd gear but with the lower gear you will need an extra gear change as you wont hit 60mph till 3rd.

(However the 0-100kmh will be slightly quicker as you need 3rd gear to hit that on standard gearing)
Is that right? According to the gear calculator, standard gearing will get you 65.6mph in 2nd, which is 105km/h http://www.turnzero....gear_calculator

The links I posted above contain some useful graphs for acceleration with the different drives.

This is also very interesting reading (assuming the website the data was garnered from is correct) http://vlsicad.ucsd....i/perf_est.html (does not work in Chrome).

I've just used the same thing to get the 4.625 numbers, but it is spitting out completely different results - did you change anything from Stock apart from the final drive?

Did you remember to multiply the differential ratio to allow for the secondary shaft?
i.e
4.1 x 1.16 = 4.756
4.44 x 1.16 = 5.1504
4.57 x 1.16 = 5.3012
4.625 x 1.16 = 5.365

Here are my numbers:

Thanks Simon, I didn't remember, because I didn't know I had to, I just stuck the numbers in

I'm off to look at the pretty graphs now
