Default WTB: cd changer

I don't suppose they come up too often but if anybody is selling an OEM CD changer I would be very interested in it...

...also does anybody know if any of the mainstream brands make a CD changer that will work with the stock head unit?

Mine is an '00 model year BTW with stock Rad/Cass head unit (which I quite like...)

Cheers

Jerry

Jerry, if you post the second part of your question on the main UK S2000 forum you are bound to get plenty of responses. I think there is also some stuff in the Tech FAQ re: ICE.

CD changer with a cassette head unit? Seems unlikely to be workable to me, but then I'm a complete ICE novice so you're probably better off following GSi's advice, Jerry. And maybe posting in the main Electronics forum too.

(FWIW, I flogged a Honda OEM 6 CD changer a few months ago for a few quid over

You need to get yourself an OEM changer from a pre 02 car as the 03 onwards changer interface is different.

There is no other changer that will work with the OEM head unit. (The Honda OEM changer is an Alpine unit with some changes to the interface)

OEM changers do come up for sale every couple of months as people upgrade their head units and have to get a new changer.
