WTB: (Or Borrow) s2000 vtec solenoid
I have a long standing cold start issue with my car. It has just thrown a P1259 Vtec Solenoid Bank 1 CEL.
I'm after a Vtec solenoid to see if replacing it fixes my problem but it's an expensive item and chances are (with my luck) it isn't the cause of my woes.
Does anyone have a spare vtec solenoid lying around by any chance. I'm happy to buy one for a good price?
Thanks, Nick

Ah okay your thinking this the vtec engagement solenoid.
I broke mine off along time (changing oil filter i slipped), inside is a wee posh rod that complete the circuit depending on if there is enough oil pressure - i doubt if thats broke which is why it could be the circuit
On my car it would get to near ~7000rpm and just hit a brick wall, once i replaced it, it was fine - its only used to tell the car there enough oil pressure to engage vtec.
P1259 - oil pressure switch circuit or valve circuit.
I heard also the filter can get clogged up on the vtec unit.
Hope this is of some use?

Sorry I've looked and don't have that, seem to have every other sensor though. Honda did say a sensor was damaged / missing on my new engine when it turned up so I'm guessing it was that one.
