Default For Sale : Kenwood Sub with built in Amp

I am selling the sub which has been fitted into 3 of my last 5 cars as I am selling the Xantia that it currently sits in. I can't see this working in an S but it has been fantastic in our Xantia and previously in an AX! By handling the bass, this unit allows you to back off the bass on the head unit allowing the other speakers to concentrate on handling mid and treble - this improves the output quality all round.

I'd be interested, but why can't it go in an S?

Well I guess physically it will fit in the boot well, just not sure about the acoustic requirements of a side facing sub - i.e. does it require a certain amount of air around it to be effective? (perhaps an ICE man could confirm this?)

It was certainly highly effective in the large boot of the Xantia when placed directly behind the seats facing to the rear.

Come on! I know there are people here who are into car sound systems, can anyone comment on how well a side facing sub like this would perform in an S2000 boot well?

Hey Cedric - would work wonders in the CTR!! Seriously, didn't you say your son was into car audio, could he offer any advice on this?

- Adam.

I have had several of these in many cars but non with such a small boot.

I assume its an active Sub with volume etc. controls in which case there would be no problem with sitting it in the middle of the boot sideways on.

They are to be recommended.
