S2000 for sale + Company Car Choice
ok, so here's my dilemma:
Im currently in Paris, but my company are moving me back to the UK in 4 weeks time...hurrah! However the downside of this is that I HAVE to have a company car (ie they wont give me a monthly allowance instead to fund my own car).
In addition to this I need to sell my S2000 to recuperate some money for a deposit on a house in London (or to be more realistic a shoebox).
So this generates two issues; firstly i need to sell my S2000, and QUICK! Its a silverstone silver/black interior, with CD changer and silver hardtop. 2001 model. 14,000kms. Obviously a left hand drive. I havent thought of a price yet, but I am extremely keen to sell, so make me a serious offer and i will very likely accept!
Secondly, the new company car selection. My company tends to be pretty anal about this, so im not allowed a BMW or Merc, nor am I allowed any Japanese car. 4x4s and convertibles are also out of the question. The budget is up to around

You really dont want to try and sell your car in the UK, with it being a left hooker you'll struggle to sell it at all and if you do the price would be very low. Consider that you can pickup a LHD Audi TT for about 10-12K, whereas the same spec/year RHD youd be looking around 18K, I imagine the price differential would be roughly the same for the S2000.
As for a company car, are you stuck with British? if so I guess the only car I can think of around that price tag which still has some Kudos would be the Jag X-type. Personally I see them as for the 'older person' but given the choice between that and a mondeo/vectra/75 I'd take the Jag.
Good Luck

actually im not stuck with british, but appear to be stuck with european...the exclusions being the ones listed above.
so i guess that makes the choice: audi, alfa, ford, peugot, renault, volvo etc, none of which i know a great deal about.
concerning the sale of my S2000, im a lazy bugger, and i dont know the ins and outs of selling a car in france...so although i am making enquiries as we speak, i just thought i would put the offer out to anyone in the uk, since due to my inherent laziness, the convenience of selling even at a low price could interest me

Brought a Saab back from Paris.
Drove it in the UK for a year - no particular problems - sitting on the wrong side of the car.
Sold it to a guy who was going to export it to Spain for the price
quoted in one of those tables year/mileage

thanks for your suggestions guys...some food for thought.
to be quite honest though, its rather depressing looking at the suggestions, and knowing that i will be giving up my S2000...
of course, it always helps to read the contract, which i just did, and it specifies:
"In the current company car policy you will be entitled to a Grade 3 vehicle which includes any car of european manufacture equivalent in monthly lease cost value to the Vauxhall Omega 2.2i CD 4 Dr Manual."
somebody pass the prozac please...
