Porter cable Group buy

I decided to go for the deWalt, primarily cos it saves @rsing around with voltage adapters. I am reliably informed by rahul that the deWalt UK website has the wrong RPM listed for it and that the wizzing round speed thingy is quite alright. Given his recent PhD in car detailing I am inclined to beleive him. If i find he's wrong i'll have his guts for garters
AB when it is delivered if you want to have a look at it (I'd like you to - so I can have your opinion on it being the Professor of detailing) and let me know what you think
Anyway I dont want to hijak kev's thread any longer. Kev, good luck on the group buy - its good to have variety, and compare the PC to the deWalt i think Check out coastal tool though - $119 - they seem the cheapest to me.

I didn't mean to hijack this thread either. I am sorry but it seems that I might have. I just wanted to share my info with you all, including Kev, so you could save yourself a lot of hassle and costs. That was my only motive.
The coastal tool link which I posted above gives you all the info. The good thing with this package is that you get the backing plates and right counter weights to go with it. I'll dig up a link for this in a minute.

I saw my autoglym supplier yesterday, asked him what he could supply.
He can get me a mop with a max speed of 2000rpm, i think its really 1800ish, this is the one they use autoglym HO Letchworth in the cleaning bay/ training facility. Only problem is the cost,

Gavin,
Really would depend on which products you end up using. If you are going to remove swirls then you need 5000-6000 opm. Anyway I have posted enough info now to let you all deciede what to buy so will stay out of this thread unless someone wants to ask me a question. Just PM me.
