have a look on this site also:

http://www.coastaltool.com/cgi-bin/SoftCar...8e0e+1091912104

I had ordered it from them before going for a UK version instead. Their service was great, quick dispatch and they even paid to return the item to them when I decided against buying it.

AB: no issues to date with the DW in terms of speed or otherwise. I know a lot of people who use this because of the same voltage and frequency issues as us.

This product is a mechanical item and some will fail. With the PC it will cost you $50 to send it back and another $50 postage back to you. Also using a convertor and paying for that, extension cable etc easily brings the price of this to over

Rahula, your the man

Didn't that meguires chappy (who you didn't like ) adjust the speed on his PC depending on the stage he got to.

A bloody great industrial sander revving at 7000rpm seems a bit scary to me.

Kev i'd be interested on the basis that the speed can be adjusted, I can't see anything on the de jobby that does that. Sorry Rahula

I am using the Meguiars 6.5" pads. I have cutting, polishing and finishing ones. You can however choose any other make you like, they will all fit and the machine comes with the velcro backing plate.

I really am not forcing anything on you guys. If you feel more comfortable with a PC then go for it. I know of at least 6 people in the UK who have one with no problems to date. I was just voicing my opinion since I have already investigated this in detail. Like I mentioned above, I had bought the PC and then sent back, ordered the extension cable in the US as well as buy the transformer. In the end I returned all of them and bought a dewalt.
