Looking for an s2000 facelift and advice on rust!
Hi All,
This is my first post so any help and guidance will be appreciated!
Im based in Surrey and have been looking to buy an S2000 for a couple of months, so rare to track a decent facelift model down! My budget is up to £8k and ideally a 04-06 plate (facelift) to avoid the ridiculous tax. I would love the car to be low miles too. Just wondering if any members know of any decent ones out there?
Also i have seen a few and most seem to have a rust issue on the rear/ engine sub frame, mounts and steering arm. I know the underside isnt well protected and rust can happen on the undersill and jacking points, but is the engine bay common?
Any help and advice is appreciated
Thanks

i did see this one, its a beautiful car without a doubt, but slightly too modified for me. Plus i was ideally looking for a 04 face-lift style as i think it looks better. Really hard to find a decent one though, seems people don't want to sell them, don't blame them really!
Any advise on the rust aspect?

I recently px'd my JDM EP3 with cash for a Standard Nurby Blue 05 plate with only 45k miles.
It had a few scratches and minor aesthetic issues that i'll address but otherwise seems mechanically
sound.
Took me an 11 hour round trip up to Fife and back to pick it up but no regrets at all.
Good luck with you're search........
