Sorry you have to sell it, even worse knowing you could never buy a new one ever again, good luck selling it.

New price £17800. Very good value.

Wish I didn't have to sell, which I don't just yet but I'm just prolonging the agony!!

It appears a few people on here want sellers to give them their cars, I have had a few very low offers and have also read a few other for sale threads that have had a little thread crapping. A seller will ask for a price (you may not agree with it) but if you dont want to pay near the asking price don't thread crap trying to get the seller to give it to you.

Rant over!!

Can't believe this is still here. Things should pick up in 4 -6 weeks when the sun comes out.

I hope so, I'm getting a little frustrated by offers of £16k, am I really that far off on price?
I know its only worth what somebody wants to pay, however I still cant find a cheaper 09plate for sale.
Somebody on here just sold GT100 for £20k so £17800 I feel is fair.

He didnt sell it, it was a trade in offer price and I believe most of the offers he received were between 16-18K. The trade in offer was against a Subaru WRX and I dont think that reflects a true value as the new car could be discounted to offset the trade in value. He has now decided to keep the car so there wasn't a deal done in the end. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=767743

Edit: As you know the last 09 (non GT100's) were dumped into the market by HONDA on 09 plates at £18995 for non GT and £19995 for GT's. The cheapest reported new selling price a GT100 sold for was £22000. So at your advertised selling price of £17800 is just £1195 cheaper than a non GT could have been picked up for NEW last summer, and you have 5000 miles on the clock

Best of luck with the sale mate

That was me

I thought £16k in early February was a good start point to negotiate a sale at ~£17k from the price of £18,495 that had been fixed since mid November. As I half expected, I was laughed off. At the time, several were for sale and all bar one has now sold, surprise surprise.

Petrolheads, private sale, 1300, Moonrock/Black, £17,500, Milton Keynes
Autotrader, Westgate, 4352, Black/Black, £17,985, Grimsby
Compucars, Hepworth, 3120, Moonrock/Black, £17,995, Huddersfield
S2ki.com, private sale, 5800 ,Black/Red-black, £18,495, Sheffield.

I think the first one is still up on Petrolheads marked sold. It went like a hot cake.
Lesson there somewhere ...

Two simple rules:
- You don't sell privately for more than trade.
- Nobody pays more for a higher mileage car.

I have gone elsewhere now, but this won't sell IMO until the putative seller really does accept that price is what someone will pay and starts negotiating with sellers who have done their homework. The reason I post this, is to help sell a car that is suffering from standing out in a bad winter little used and wearing only the OEM car cover
