I don't mind waiting for parts as long as the seller says so before taking payment also making excuses up is not on either.

The seller did pm me last night and said he will refund me the money today - I won't hold my breath but I will post on here if I do get my money back.

No surprise - no refund as yet.

As I've told robin the refund will be over tomorrow and I'm sorting Carls part out this weekend.
As I've explained to Carl i haven't had any spare time lately as work has been manic and he has been very patient and understanding which I'm grateful for.
I apologise for the delays.
Thanks

Why lie about sending stuff out? Why not just tell the truth and all this wouldn't have to happen?

People don't mind waiting if they are told the truth.

I did get a response but had sourced parts from elsewhere. In Ryan's defence I have been in the situation where life gets in the way of getting to post offices, even just wrapping parcels etc BUT communication is vital. If you're struggling to get items off the car or shipped just tell people.

Exactly - tell people what is going on rather than lying.

The first excuse was that his uncle sent the parcel as he works for UPS so he wasn't able to give me a tracking number.

Second excuse was the parcel company didn't have my name so it wasn't sent.

Several times I was told the item was sent but in reality it wasn't.

I try to buy parts from members as it's a nice community but thing like this just makes me buy off eBay instead.

I have issues with getting to the post office etc due to a full time job etc but I tell people what is going on and I don't mess people around - doesn't take much to keep people in the loop.

Anyway rant over - I doubt I will see my money back or steering wheel so i will just put it down to a bad experience and move on - thankfully another member has offered me free use of this spare steering wheel so there are good members out on here.

Robin

If you used your credit card to support the PayPal payment you can claim back via that ! Worked for me when an eBay purchase went bad
