Default FS: Canon EF lenses

Got two lenses I have up for sale;

Canon EF 28-135/3.5-5.6 IS USM

and;

Canon 20-35/3.5-4.5 EF USM

Both are in good condition although the 20-35 has some fine scratches on the lens coating, thease do not affect the image quality. Come on guys some good add ons for your digicams that will last longer than your camera!

I'll keep that in mind Ian, too many pixel counters for me though, which is where most forums are going. I'm Lurking more in www.apug.org though where I'm honing my skills for achieving an ARPS

If there had been a 10-20 in there I'd have been interested

P.S - on the second advert you have this "This camera will cost you over

Have you looked at the Canon mount Sigma 10-20mm Rob? Seems good value compared to the Canon version, pretty good reviews as well.

Sigma is Sh!t, partly down to Canon keeping a few tricks up there sleeves. I have only ever had one good experience with Sigma, that was a 14mm f2.8 fixed focal length. That cost me

I can see you're a badge snob Lee, I've heard a lot of good things about the Sigma 10-20 - from professionals. I've also seen some cracking images.

My sensor is smaller than I'd like it is true, but said professionals use the 10-20 on the 1DsMk2 and have no issues at the edges. I'll probably upgrade my lens before the body though, so 10-20 is probably what I'll afford/choose.

I have a couple of Sigma lenses 17-35 EX f2.8-4.0 and 80-400 OS EX and I'm very happy with them for the sort of things I do. But I had the 17-35 when I had a film SLR so am hankering for the extra width in my shots.. If I could afford it I'd go for the 16-35? Canon lens and the 1DsMk2

Yes you are probably right, for Camera's . But I have owned four sigma lenses in my time and concluded you get what you pay for. If I hada a choice I would be hanging Leica or Rodenstock lens off the end of my Canon and they would all be fixed focal length.

For bokeh and tone, Canon suits me better

Bokeh?

Sigma 105mm Macro

I've seen results with the Canon (Oss) and the Sigma (on another forum) 10mms and I'd happily have either of them.

No lens buying for me at the moment though, sadly.
