Alpine CDA-9833R for sale. Has been in my S for the last 4 years. Great sounding unit with a proper parametric EQ and time correction which all help to make it sound very good indeed.
Plays MP3/WMA cds so you can get 0.8Gb per disc
It is iPod compatible with the correct Alpine add-on, and works with the Alpine steerin wheel controls add-on or a Modifry.
Rated at 60Wx4 so is very powerful for a head unit and worked well in my S without additional amplification, although I added it later.
There are however, a couple of problems with it:
1) it won't switch off using the button, you either have to remove the front panel or simply switch the car off. I've never actually had any difficulties with this, but watch out if you're leaving the car with the keys in the ignition for any length of time.
2) It has had a problem with a CD stuck inside (now removed) and is now ok. Should this persist, I'll offer a full refund.
Sensible offers please (was about
