Default Engine diagnostic / ECU reset tool

Ok, myself and a number of others chip in and try and help with peoples various engine problems and I find more often than not, I can solve my own car probs using one of these. I had one on the scoob for a while and foolishly sold it!

Basically it plugs into the diagnostic port (OBDII) under the dash and lets you see most of the ECU signals from the various sensors on the car.

"The R-VIT can read and display real time engine readings such as speed, tachometer, water temp, voltage, injector pulse, intake air temperature, air flow, inlet manifold temperature, oxygen reading, throttle position and many more. The data shown on the R-VIT is dependent upon the data read by the vehicles ECU and varies in different vehicles."

I need to confirm which exact signals will / wont work but I suspect it will be nearly all of them. It doesnt do fault codes / ECU resets unfortunately.

I cant get hold of Thor Racing until the new year but from previous group buys I think around

I have one, it's good for checking intake temps if you are planning on doing a CAI etc..

not all of the features are supported.. but it does say diagnostic.. however since I have not had any CEL's - I don't know if it works or not..

OBD 2 Lead/Software

Much cheaper if you've a laptop. Only worth spending more if you want the Honda specific's rather than the generic OBD2 codes. 99% of people don't need the specifics.

I have one from ESP that uses a palm pilot, it shows fault codes and can log 2 sensor inputs in real time
map sensor
air intake sensor
coolant temp
throttle possition
fuel adjustment %
speed
etc etc
the problem is if you don't know what the numbers correspond to its no use (is 70 better than 50 for the map sensor?), it could be that ESP are just crap with instructions or the hand held version is not as user freindly as the lap top version.
The unit costs

Thats handy Brian. I posted on the US forum and no-body came up with anything...

Still like the idea of the PSI3 though - will get a price.
