I've had the door card off today and there's no easy way of fitting these speakers to my car, they dont fit the basket front (even if i cut the back out) and dont fit the door without drilling (which i am not doing). I'm not into making a new adaptor so they're back up for sale. I doubt anyone will want these for an S but its worth asking. They'll go on ebay shortly..

i've had a dig around and people (cant remember who) mention making a new 'surround' out of mdf.. might give that a go..

they are way too tight for my baskets but won't fit the door either (the metal cage of the speaker is too big for that without the extra spacing of the surround and too big for the basket too)..

grrr..

i may revise and get some mdf tomorrow... depends how lazy i'm feeling

 

Do they come with a certificate of providence - with AE being so infamous!

I have just ordered some 14mm 6.5" plastic spacers that will take any 6.5" speaker and fit to standard Honda mounting points in the car!

Got my adaptors today, 2 mm lower than the Honda ones and just the job. I'll fit them and the Dynamat at the weekend!
