Not really. If you are not enthusiastic about the look and feel of the bodywork then IMHO it's great low maintenance stuff, but for that "like looking at paint through glass" appeal it just doesn't seem to do it.

A mate has it on his RX-8 which is a lovely shade of blue and it gives him a headache free look, but the shine never really seems to come up on it.

Horses for courses I reckon.

Only prob with Silverstone is that it is hard to get it looking really shiny.

Used to spend hours on mine, but have given up now.

Still looking for an alternative to the Zaino as it just took too long. Though the Z6 is good shit for removing bug splats!

Best tip I had off these forums was to use Johnson's baby wipes for bug splats. They work great and also come in handy for cases of nappy rash for when you crap yourself whilst doing a track day and losing the back end at 90 mph...but that's another story.

Zaino is probably the best bet for Sliverstun without using a buffer. Concours is a real bag of worms though and you will be looking onto what polish combination best suits your colour and manufacture of car. Personally I prefer Poorboys product which are cheaper and more widely available, here's a nipple shot to give you an idea of the result;

check out Rahul's website if you want a good starting point.

Bad tip ........ Tesco value baby wipes are a fraction of the price and come in a better container.
