Is your S2000 (or similar) a daily driver or 2nd car?
#11
My S2000 is both my commuting transport (50 miles a day when not away on business - I write this from a very pleasant Madrid ) and my pride, joy and hobby. It lives outside in all weathers but I do my damnedest to keep the car looking good - it is washed at least once a week, and waxed at least every fortnight. Interior gets a good seeing too every month and engine bay every other month. For a 36k, 3yr old motor, I think it still looks OK (fcking crap wheels aside )

I use public transport during the week (no parking at work), so using the S (only car) at the weekend is something to look forward to
I'm more inclined to use it for a long run at the weekend if the weather is drier though, as I prefer to drive it with the hood down. If pi$$ing down, I don't go very far .
With my winter tyres now though, there is nothing stopping me using the car in all weathers (in fact I can't wait for the snow to return )

Hi All
Mine was my daily driver for over a year and I did close to 23K last year, but I have invested in a diesel 5 series to cart my significant mass up and down the motorway and the S is now my well polished weekend trouble making car.
Works well

Mine is a 2nd car.
My commute car is a 11 year old 950cc Citroen AX.
It is so refreshing to be able to have a car which you can park anyway, in any parking space and close to the shop entrance, and not really give a **** about it.
Anyone ever try getting some furniture in the S2000 !!!??
Also , convenient for those trips to the dump etc....
I figure the savings on additional petrol, tyre wear, servicing just about covers the cost of running the 2nd car.
However, dont get me wrong! I still use the S loads for pleasure time etc amounting to 8k of mileage per anum on it.Still a low mileage driver I suppose.
I probably do about 8k of mileage in the 'runaround' car per anum also.
