Is your antifreeze up to the job ?
Having read a thread on another forum where somones car sufferd engine damage due to weak anti freeze and windchill on a cold engine causing -15deg c I thought I'd better check mine.
£3 at my local parts factor buys a tester like the helfurds one linked below
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...tegoryId_165469
the halfords one looks a lot like the one I bought but its £5 instead of £3
can be used on a hot or cold engine well worth it for piece of mind IMO
Oh and my coolant mix is good to -30 deg c in van and S
