Yorkshire service?
My S is due for its first service and I've been wondering which dealer to use. I live in Sheffield and work in Leeds, so could use any in those areas.
I'd be interested to hear of experiences (good or bad), type and make of oil used, whether courtesy car was provided etc
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

Don't go to Peter Brooks Honda in Sheffield, whatever you do. I bought my S from there and they don't look after your car. Mine has only done 1400 miles so isn't even near it's first service but I bought it brand new from there and it was in terrible condition when I got it. Needed several visits back to sort everything out, and some things I daren't take it back for in case it comes back worse...
Lord knows what they'll do to a car that probably wasn't bought from them...

In 4000 miles I shall have a similar dilemma.
Unfortunately, Dixons have the market around the Leeds area, and though I don't have first hand experience with them, I have heard doubtful reports of the one in Harrogate, and I would tend to distrust a franchise over the one off dealer for servicing.
I have heard good reports from De Vries in York, a bit out the way for you though.

It's a bit out of the way but I have no complaints with regard to Robert Bowett in Ossett.
I've only used them once for a service so far (touch wood) so they haven't been too tested.

copied from an old post of mine:
Dixon Honda, 7 Armley Road, Leeds
Fletch, this is where I go as I work less than a minute away. Wouldn't go there to buy the car as the sales guy is an arrogant Tw@t.
However I have chatted to the service guys a couple of times and they are very very knowledgable about the S. Another good sign is that they always have new unregistered S's in stock. I think they are the regional S centre.
My thread about both the HKS I was offered and the brake pads/discs were from here.
My knowledge of the Horsforth branch is only that they are even more incompetant at the sales side than in Armley
Any more questions on these two then fire away, but I can't help on the rest.
Cheers

Thanks Guys. I've spoken Peter Brooks on the sales and service side and wasn't impressed at all. It's interesting to hear about similar experiences.
It looks like Bowetts or Dixons then. Do you know what oil they used?
Thanks
