Yet another dull tyre pressure question
Had these new tyres fitted (non OEM obv) and it's like driving on a sponge road!
I can wiggle the steering wheel and the car just rotates around it's centre of axis without actually going anywhere! Not sure if I explained it very well. When I turn in, there is a split second delay before the car reacts.
TPs are 35psi at an ambient temperature of around 40C.
When you take a cold reading, what exactly constitutes cold? 15C? 20?
If it is that low, chances are I can bump the tp up to about 38/39C and this should hopefully reduce the squirming.
Also when the tyres wear the block squirm should go too!
I hope.

Probably should be using 34psi and you will need to allow time to scrub the tyres in properly.
What make are we talking about BTW ?

In the dry climate of Dubai, I'm surprised anyone would bother with anything other than the S02s, but each to their own

This thread originally started because he can't get S02s in Dubai. I believe that Bridgestone don't import them and it was cost prohibitive to do it himself.
Asterix: Is this an accurate summary?

It is indeed Stuart
The tyres are Bridgstone GIIIs - not a tyre you have in the UK market. Far Eastern tyre I believe.
I've done 250kms on them now and I bumped the pressures up to 38 psi (ambient of 40C and had driven about 3 miles) last night and they do seem a little better.
Time will tell I guess.
