@ Dark Blu Mark. sorry mate. the wiring diagram is good but not helpful to me if i cannot find the connector!
looking at steven's pic of where he installed his, at the 11 o'clock position the connector there does not look like it has 32 pins.
also once, and if i do find it. the input wire goes towards the ecu?? or away??

AE mentioned the wire most of us have cut to lower roof while moving. thats not the same wire is it???

@ DB Mark that was one of the 1st threads i read. it was not relevant to me as i want to wire it inside the car. his method also does not address which way the pluse goes through the wire. i.e input or output.
further down the post there are a few pictures of the light blue connector (c101) that has the VSS wire on it. on my car that connector is not in same location as picture. i'm certain the wiring is different to us here in the UK.
From reading my thread so far i have been told its by the ECU somewhere. it has 32 pins. its blue with white stripe, not the other way round. and finally the possibility it being the same blk/whi as most of us have cut for the roof trick.????
i understand there are many places you can tap into the vss wire, but i think steven m method is the best. i just need to find the right connector. from his picture i can only see one connector. is that the one???

Its pretty clear from Steven M's pic above. The ECU wiring colours are the same in the US as they are the UK, so the VSS wire should be the same as its part of the loom going to the ECU....
