Default X or H?

I'm looking for advice from anyone running lower front braces.

I've looked at buying various types but am confused by the H pattern and X pattern designs. Does one offer more/less flex than the other?

I've been looking a muz, cusco and various fleabay products.

Cheers

Without anything to back this up I would say that the X brace would be stronger only because the bolt holes/bars are triangulated which is the stongest simple structure,Iv got a Spoon x-brace plus a Cusco chassis brace. Belt and braces

The X braces can make getting at the drain bolt more difficult.

You won't be able to tell any difference, but you obviously get what you pay for with Fleabay brands. Muz=Whiteline.

I fitted the eBay H brace and felt a definite improvement in front end "feel".

Quality is fine though and it doesn't make oil changes any harder. Does me just fine (but I've not compared it to the X brace and have no plans to change).

I've got a Spoon front X brace and the car feels much stiffer at the front as a result, definitely a decent improvement over nothing there at all. I'm also now planning on getting a rear tie bar as the OEM one flexes when you lean on it let alone when you corner hard!

I've not tried and H brace to compare the differences between the two so can't really advise on that.

Do the rear first, it makes a noticeable difference, I was not so impressed with the front when I fitted it but strangely noticed the difference 2 years later when I removed it.
I had the Spoon X brace and it was no big issue to change oil filter or remove the sump plug

I fitted an H brace to my S, and noticed a tiny amount of improvement to the feel on the front end.

I believe the X type brace offers more from an engineering perspective as it has more mounting points and is a stronger shape that is less susceptible to flex.

It's not an H anyway. It's more of a parallelogram.
